Departments/Schools are asked to use these templates as the basis for the advertised job information for Academic, Research and Teaching staff posts, and may adapt to fit local needs and circumstances. The templates will also be useful to Heads of Department/School in clarifying the roles and performance expectations for colleagues currently in each staff category and in discussions with individuals where it may be appropriate to consider a transfer to an alternative staff category.
