You’re now into University life and before you know it the first semester is coming to an end and there’s assessments to hand in and exams to sit.  Here’s some important information about them.

Find out more about exams at Strathclyde. You’ll be able to view your exam timetable on PEGASUS. You’ll receive a PEGASUS message to inform you when it’s available. 

Award classification

The University applies the following criteria for Undergraduate Honours and Postgraduate Taught courses:

UG Honours Programmes

First Class Honours: > 70 %

Upper Second Class Honours: 60 to 69 %

Lower Second Class Honours: 50 to 59 %

Third Class Honours: 40 to 49 %

Pass Degree: 360 credits with 60 SHE Level 3 credits or above

PG Taught and Integrated Masters Programmes

Distinction: > 70 %

Merit: 60 to 69 %

Pass: 50 to 59%

Graduation

It might seem like a lifetime away but your Graduation Day will soon come around.

To graduate, you’ll need to register in your final semester. 

If you graduate in July you’ll need to register in April. If you graduate in November you’ll need to register in August. You’ll be sent reminders via your PEGASUS account.
