We’re deeply grateful to our 2025 judging panel for generously giving their time and expertise to carefully review each entry and assess them against the judging criteria.

Stephen Breslin

Stephen Breslin is currently Chief Executive Officer of Glasgow Science Centre and is committed to building confidence and raising aspiration in young people and helping them to discover the pleasure and relevance of science, engineering and technology. Stephen trained and worked as an engineer and has held two previous roles as Chief Executive Officer with Futurelab Education and The Kelvin Institute Ltd. Stephen also sits on the board of trustees for the Scottish Seabird Centre, the Campaign for Science and Engineering and is Chair of the Association of Science and Discovery Centres.  Stephen is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

 

Gordon Hodge

Gordon Hodge is a native of Oban and a graduate of the University of Glasgow, Gordon joined Strathclyde in 2013.  He currently heads up the University’s award-winning Conferencing & Events team, who market and operate the Technology & Innovation Centre and the wider campus as a venue for conferences, meetings and events; provide conference management services to academic colleagues; and deliver the University’s programme of corporate events, including graduation ceremonies and honorary degrees.

Marilyn Lennon

Marilyn Lennon is a Professor in Digital Health and Wellness in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences.  Her background is in usability, user experience and the design, development and evaluation of interactive technologies for health and care. She is experienced in both co-production techniques and controlled usability studies. She has led several national health innovation programmes where she has developed and conducted real-world evaluations of technologies in both home and NHS-based contexts.

Churnjeet Mahn

Churnjeet Mahn is a Professor of English and a Deputy Associate Principal for Research and Knowledge Exchange. She has worked extensively on community-based approaches to research including co-designing craft and innovation festivals with migrant communities in India, participatory research with LGBTQ+ refugees in the UK, and collaborative approaches to policy recommendations and design in Scotland.
