How can we help you?

Please navigate through the helpful drop-down menus below to find useful information, links to further guidance, and answers to your questions.

As part of the registration process, we review new students’ immigration documents to ensure compliance with UKVI visa regulations. We require new students to upload several documents via your PEGASUS online student portal, as part of the registration process.

During registration weeks, we have staff and student ambassadors available on the 4th floor of the Learning and Teaching building to answer questions and offer support. Please also review our detailed International Registration webpage for step-by-step instructions on how to register and be ready to begin study.

If you are a continuing student, you can find further information on what you need to complete for re-registration on our Registration – Continuing Students webpage. Please contact us if you have any questions or need assistance.

Throughout the academic year, we continue to monitor and maintain student records to reflect up-to-date visa and contact information. If you have new or revised immigration documents to submit, please email them to visacompliance.documents@strath.ac.uk.

We are required to monitor your student attendance in line with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations if you are sponsored by the university on a Student route visa. Your attendance and engagement points are monitored through SEAMS (Student Engagement and Monitoring System) and must be updated at regular intervals. Your department will update your SEAMS record with any relevant information to keep your record up to date.

You should always speak with your department first if you have any questions or concerns about your attendance, travel plans, unforeseen circumstances, or key academic term dates.

To contact our team with any attendance or engagement queries, please email us at seams.compliance@strath.ac.uk.

During your study, there may be circumstances that change your student status. These can include early completions, voluntary suspension of studies, exam board decisions, scheduled work placements integral to your course, or you may ask to transfer degree programme.

If you have just received an exam board decision and you are unsure what this means for you, please find more information on our Exam Board Decisions webpage.

If your exam board results impact your student visa, we will contact you using your university email so please remember to always check your student email for important updates.

If you receive a visa refusal, we're here to guide and support you through the next steps. Please notify us as soon as possible and send a copy of your refusal notice to visa.compliance@strath.ac.uk. We can then assess your situation and advise you accordingly.

We play a behind-the-scenes but essential role in helping international students transition to the Graduate route visa. We notify UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) when students successfully complete their course.

If you have recently completed your studies, we aim to submit our notification of Graduate route eligibility to UKVI within five working days. If you believe you are eligible to apply for the Graduate visa and have not received an email from us, please contact visa.compliance@strath.ac.uk. You can also view confirmation of the date we submitted your eligibility report to UKVI on your Student Curriculum PEGASUS page.

To learn more about the Graduate route visa process, please visit our Graduate Visa webpage. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

A new CAS may be issued to continuing students who are returning after a period of suspension or require additional time to complete their course.

Before submitting a CAS request, you should first discuss this with your academic department to review your academic progression and agree on a revised study plan.

Once confirmed, the CAS request form should be submitted to visa.compliance@strath.ac.uk for review and processing. More information can be found on our Visas & Immigration webpages, this is also where you will find links to download CAS Request Forms for your level of study. These should be completed with your department of study.

If you are a continuing PhD student, please direct your enquiries to the International Student Support Team at infoandadvice@strath.ac.uk.
