The University of Strathclyde invests millions of pounds each year in scholarships, supporting students from around the world to access an internationally renowned education.
Below is a selection of our scholarships for postgraduate taught degree programmes beginning in 2025/26. You can also find full details of all our scholarships on our scholarship search.

International students (non-EU)
Glasgow 850 Scholarships - £5,000 to £8,000
Scholarships of £5,000 to £8,000 will automatically apply to eligible international applicants beginning postgraduate taught courses in September 2025.
We're excited to offer these scholarships to celebrate our home city of Glasgow's 850th anniversary. With roots dating back to 1796, and a student population representing over 180 different nationalities, we hope these scholarships will support our international applicants to join us during this historic year.

Faculty of Engineering: Dean’s International Excellence Awards
A scholarship award of £7,000 to £10,000 for students demonstrating academic excellence.
Faculty of Science: International Excellence Awards
A scholarship award of £7,000 to £8,000 for students demonstrating academic excellence.
Strathclyde Business School: Dean's Excellence Award
A scholarship award of £9,000 to £12,000 for students demonstrating academic excellence.
Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences: Dean’s International Excellence Scholarships
A scholarship award of £10,000 for students demonstrating academic excellence.
Humanities & Social Sciences
Deans Excellence Scholarship
A scholarship award of £2,000 is offered to Scottish and UK students demonstrating academic excellence.
Faculty of Science
Masters scholarship for UK fee-paying students
A scholarship award of £1,400 is offered to Scottish and UK students demonstrating academic excellence.
Strathclyde Business School
Masters Scholarships for Scottish/UK students
A scholarship award of £5,000 to £7,000 offered to all eligible Scottish and UK offer-holders.
EU students
EU Engagement Scholarships
EU Engagement Scholarships of £5,000 to £10,000 are available to EU applicants beginning full-time, on-campus postgraduate taught courses in September 2025.
Online students
Faculty of Science online scholarships
Scholarships of £1,800 are available to new students beginning one of the Faculty’s online programmes in September 2025.
All students
Alumni Scholarships
All Strathclyde graduates are eligible for a 15% tuition fee discount on postgraduate taught courses beginning in September 2025. This includes those who have studied at Strathclyde on an exchange or study abroad programme.
