Work with us Global Environmental Measurement & Monitoring
The Global Environmental Measurement & Monitoring (GEMM) Centre at the University of Strathclyde is a regional centre of the GEMM Initiative.
The GEMM Initiative, supported by Optica (formerly OSA) and the American Geophysical Union (AGU), engages with universities, research centres, measurement standards agencies, companies, and other scientific societies around the world to provide new opportunities for regional climate change impact prediction.
The centre aims to develop effective approaches for measuring and monitoring sustainability and climate change impact, mitigation and adaptation; assessing the interplay of these factors with policy; and, ultimately, improving governance on climate change and sustainability.
GEMM regional centres provide a critical focal point for researchers, technology developers and policymakers.
