ArchitectureRSA New Contemporaries Exhibition 2022

Euan Andrew Campbell and Alexandra Adams, MArch AAD will be Exhibiting Architects at the Royal Scottish Academy New Contemporaries Exhibition in early 2022.

Euan and Alexandra will be invited to exhibit their project at the prestigious exhibition in Edinburgh.

The RSA NEW CONTEMPORARIES, supported by Walter Scott & Partners Limited, represents the RSA’s commitment to promoting contemporary art in Scotland. This carefully curated exhibition offers a unique opportunity to see some of Scotland’s finest emerging talent under one roof. Showcasing graduates selected from the degree shows, this exhibition features a wonderful array of painting, sculpture, filmmaking, photography, printmaking, architecture and installation.

Euan and Alexandra's project 'Growing Underground' makes use of an abundance of coffee waste in the West End of Glasgow

In 2045, a new industrial process is created using mycelium and local organic waste to create a fully circular construction material. The thesis investigates the ongoing crisis of Climate Change, creating a solution which addresses construction waste's impact on the environment. It does so by redefining the manufacturing process of carbon-rich materials with a carbon neutral alternative.
The Project was also recognised by the Glasgow Institute of Architects, winning the Final Year Parchment in 2020.
