Safety Challenges at Sea: Data and Evidence - Published: 23/11/21
The report, which is prepared jointly by the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering at the University of Strathclyde and Bespoke Consultancy and Research from HSE, critically evaluates the maritime occupational injuries and fatalities in international merchant shipping over the last 20 years by reviewing the reported studies and publications.

Industrial Cooperative Award in Science & Technology (ICASE) - Published: 11/11/21
Georgios Anagnostopoulos (PhD student at NAOME, EPSRC studentship) received the 2021 BAE Systems' Industrial Cooperative Award in Science & Technology (ICASE) for his work in the context of his PhD on "Software tools for analysis and reduction of design rework impact on naval ships", supervised by Dr Panagiotis Kaklis.

The 6th MASHCON Conference
The 6th MASHCON conference will be held at the Technology & Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, from 22 to 26 May 2022. The conference will have a non-exclusive focus on port manoeuvres, but a large number of papers dealing with other aspects related to manoeuvring in shallow and confined water, such as shallow water effects.
