We know that the University has lots of information to hand and we appreciate that too much information can be overwhelming. We have collated the information you require in order to study with us here at Strathclyde.
Thinking of applying
Nominations will open on the 1st March 2025
We want students to get the most out of their time with us at Strathclyde we have found that in previous years students who have opted to take more than the recommended 60 Strathclyde/30 ECTS credits per semester have struggled therefore we advise against this. We want students to get the most out of their time with us at Strathclyde.

Applications
Please note that Campus housing is not guaranteed.
You can check the range of accommodation options online here. Given that in previous years international students have not received a place on campus then, we encourage you to look at alternative accommodations.

The process for applying for campus accommodation is currently being reviewed. We will contact you when the process has been agreed upon.

The new Student visa (replacing Tier 4) came into effect on 5 October 2020. This is applicable to all students planning to attend Strathclyde for more than 6 months, including those from the USA, EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. If English is not your first language and you intend to study at Strathclyde for more than 6 months, you will usually require to provide evidence of your English language proficiency. Please see Strathclyde's current .

Coming to Strathclyde
If your classes have yet to be approved then we would suggest reaching out to your departmental coordinator for an up-date. Their details can be found on our guide to choosing classes and their e-mail address is next to the specific departments: Departmental Coordinators
Your timetable of classes might not be ready until your Welcome Week at Strathclyde. Please keep a check on Pegasus when you arrive for an up-date.
You may be able to change your classes within the Welcome Week at Strathclyde but this will be discussed with your departmental coordinator. If you wish to contact them then you can find their details on our guide to choosing classes webpage: Departmental Coordinators

We always advise you to try and attend the Welcome Week at the University to give yourself time to become familiar with the location and to attend your meeting with your Departmental Coordinator to discuss your class structure and if you have any class changes.
